Mayor Lee Launches FashionSF

In October 2011, Mayor Edwin M. Lee launched FashionSF, an economic development initiative focused on supporting the retention and growth of apparel manufacturers and fashion designers in San Francisco.  This initiative focuses on supporting apparel manufacturers & fashion designers in San Francisco; part of the Mayor’s Start Here, Stay Here, Grow Here economic strategy. FashionSF consists of four key elements:

• Fashion Sector Manager
• Fashion Working Group
• Fashion Action Plan
• Non-Profit Economic Development Organization
