San Francisco owes its world class status in part to its vibrant Hospitality and Retail sectors. Combined with the city's cultural attractions, natural beauty, state-of-the-art convention facilities and strong business base, San Francisco's Hospitality and Retail sectors make San Francisco a top travel destination, playing a vital role in drawing visitors in record numbers. In 2007, San Francisco hosted 16 million visitors, contributing an estimated $8.2 billion to the local economy.
