The Office of Economic and Workforce Development to Host Meeting for Businesses and Affected Employees from Fire near 29th and Mission
San Francisco, CA—The Office of Economic and Workforce Development is hosting a meeting in response to the five alarm fire that erupted near 29th and Mission Streets on Saturday. The fire impacted businesses directly and nearby; and this meeting will allow businesses and affected employees to learn more about disaster recovery resources and services. The meeting will also provide language translation.
When: Monday, June 20, 2016, NOON
Where: Secession Art & Design, 3235 Mission Street
What: Representatives of the Office of Economic and Workforce Development to conduct assessment of impacted businesses. OEWD will also provide a range of services and resources including:
- Businesses: Filling out Disaster Declaration Forms to address resource and service needs.
- Employees: Providing affected employees that have had their employment status affected due to the fire with support and consultation on unemployment insurance, health care, and job transition services such as job counseling, training opportunities, and job placement assistance.
