Building on the successful creation of 5,000 jobs for San Francisco's youth last summer Mayor Lee is again asking the private sector to join him in creating paid summer jobs and internships for youth ages 16-24.  If you can support these efforts please join us on Tuesday April 30 at 11a in City Hall and pledge jobs for youth.  To RSVP or get more information please contact summerjobsplus@sfgov.org

Piers 30-32 Project


The Warriors announced their plan to build a premiere sports and entertainment arena on the waterfront in San Francisco in time for the 2017-2018 NBA season. The privately financed arena will be located at Piers 30-32 on San Francisco Bay, set amongst beautiful new waterfront public spaces. For more info., visit www.sfgov.org/piers3032.

Eastern Neighborhoods Transit & Mobility Study

OEWD is conducting a Transit and Mobility Survey of businesses located in the Eastern Neighborhoods in partnership with SFMade. Survey results will be provided to the SFMTA to inform our parking proposals in the Northeast Mission and other neighborhoods. If you own or manage a business in the Northeast Mission, please take the survey.

ECONOMIC STRATEGY 

In 2004, voters passed Prop I which called on the City to develop a long-term Economic Development Plan for the City and update it regularly. The first strategy was released in 2007. OEWD in partnership with the Office of Economic Analysis (OEA) are updating the Economic Strategy in 2012/13.  For more information click here.
