After completing a recovery program, Erika wanted a career that did significant work in the community. Erika’s previous work experience came from animal care and the restaurant industry, but she wanted more than a job and a paycheck. 

Erika drew upon the best aspects of her work experience when she started Homebridge’s Personal Caregiver Training program through the Healthcare Academy. Erika took introductory personal care courses and received a stipend to help complete the $0-cost training.

Now, Erika is part of Homebridge’s Caregiver Emergency Response Team (CERT) and has a livelihood which is able to give in a more meaningful and significant way.
