The Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) employs a sector strategy in developing job training programs. OEWD offers training to residents for entry level positions in high growth industries, including Construction, Health Care, Hospitality, and Technology. Each sector academy integrates skill development, support services, and job development to prepare and place individuals for a range of jobs within these thriving industries. Each sector academy was developed in partnership with the industry and by using the most currently available labor-market information (LMI).

TechSF provides a range of services, opportunities and training programs for
careers in the technology industry. Consider a career in computer science, information technology, media arts, and more.
Considering a career in healthcare? The HealthCare Academy offers opportunities for training for a wide range of occupations, including entry-level and mid-level clinical careers, health care administrative careers, and job search assistance.
The Disability Employment Initiative provides education, training, and employment opportunities for adults with disabilities and services to adults who are unemployed, underemployed, and/or receiving Social Security Disability benefits.
Are you between the ages of 17-24? Our Young Adult Services can provide you with information, support and exposure to a variety of employment opportunities and trainings to increase self-confidence and job skills.
Do you have a criminal record and are not sure how to disclose information to potential employers? Services include Interviewing and disclosure with a criminal record, bonding information, and Information regarding legal and other re-entry related resources.
